LOTARIS® TODAY ANNOUNCED THAT IT HAS BEEN AWARDED A SUBSTANTIAL GRANT BY THE CTI, THE INNOVATION PROMOTION AGENCY OF THE SWISS CONFEDERATION

Lotaris® today announced that it has been awarded a substantial grant by the CTI, the innovation promotion agency of the Swiss Confederation, in a Research & Development project in collaboration with the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (IICT) at the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HEIG-VD / HES-SO).

This Research and Development project will enable Lotaris to become the market leader in mobile application service management, according to Mr. David Keast, VP Technology and Operations at Lotaris. "The absolute focus is to enhance the "under-the-bonnet" engineering in order to provide a superior and integrated user experience", he said. The project addresses all the open mobile operating systems, including BlackBerry and Android.

The IICT has been collaborating with Lotaris for 2 years in the design and development of its 2nd Generation Platform, according to Dr. Olivier Liechti of the IICT. "This Research and Development project builds on this extremely successful relationship", he said.The project spans one year, with the first commercial deliverables in the 2nd Quarter of 2010.

For the past sixty years, the CTI has fostered knowledge and technology transfer between companies and universities by bringing them together as partners on applied research and development projects. Grants are awarded to innovative projects that have considerable market potential.

The CEO of Lotaris, Mr. Robert Tibbs stated "There is a strong innovation component to the project, and Lotaris expects to register several patents as a result."
